I am so excite. Much very!
The ‘Interference’ EP comes out June 5th in Boise, ID. It will be available at The Record Exchange that day and beyond and at a Listening Party at The Tonic Room Recording Studios that night. The following night June 6th, we’ll be presenting the EP in our first set of an full evening of musical fun and frivolity at Downtown Boise‘s own legendary institution of Ye Olde Time Culture, Pengilly’s Saloon… We have a few surprises up our sleeve for that night as well as showcasing the new release.
SPEAKING OF SAID NEW RELEASE:
The idea for this EP sprang from a seemingly random event and a conversation with the fabulous, awesome and devastatingly handsome Jason Ringelstetter. We realized I had a trove of live tracks that were recorded at a downtown performance to raise money for a community organization. These tracks were certain to simply vanish into the ether if not for timely swooping in and intervening. We took the live tracks and listened to them, and felt they were a significant document of a certain stage in the arc of my band. We also decided to augment them with a couple of carefully chosen studio tracks, thus bookending the release. The live tracks were taken to the aforementioned Tonic Room Studios and mixed and fiddled with, and we cut the new tracks.
Artwork and design work is by the tremendous artist (and even better human being) Anthony Ian Emerson. Check out his work right now: www.tonyemersonart.com
Bob Nagel (bass), Louis McFarland (drums on live tracks 2-6), Bernie Reilly (guitar), Mike Rundle (drums on studio tracks 1 & 7), Shane Cox (trumpet, trombone), Eric Dewitt (saxophone), Jason Ringelstetter (engineer, co-producer), Chris Parks (mastering)
I hope this EP will spotlight a specific era of my music and tide us all over for the time being, as there are many exciting developments on the horizon that will be coming to fruition this Autumn. Stay tuned, or even better, SIGN UP FOR THE EMAIL LIST ———————————————————>
